Preaching the message of God is not a popularity contest. Our yardstick is not the size of the crowd and the volume of the cheering, but being faithful in speaking God’s Word to the specific people and situation. That may ruffle feathers. The unwillingness of people to listen humbles God’s spokesmen. May we always pay close attention to God’s message, no matter how lowly the messenger who brings it.
